I have been very pleased with MainStreet Tax & Accounting Services over the many years of doing business with them. They are very professional and customize their services to your specific business needs. When I had an issue with the IRS they worked diligently to rectify the situation with the IRS so I did not have to pay the additional taxes the IRS claimed I owed and the IRS closed the case. Something I could not have accomplished on my own. I definitely highly recommend using the services of MainStreet Tax & Accounting Services.

The initial Tax accountant made a few minor mistakes and that I found. However, on my additional trip to the office, David B Larsen, the owner, quickly corrected them and found additional tax deductions initially overlooked. David was thoughtful, knowledgeable and professional. His office was clean and friendly. David also took the time to discuss other suggestions for me to consider for tax purposes when running a small business. I would highly recommend Main Street Tax and Accounting. I only wish they had an office in Salt Lake Co.
After being referred to Main Street Tax & Accounting Services, I had met with the tax preparer where I gave my tax information. I was left with the expectation that my taxes would be completed and turned in within a month and be done properly. This time frame was exceeded by over a month. Moreover, I got a notice from the government that my taxes calculations were done improperly and I was receiving $500 less than what Main street had told me after they submitted the taxes. For the price and the errors, it wasn't worth having my taxes done at Main Street. I'm now back to trusty, old turbo-tax. I only bother to write this review because a couple of years later, I now get an e-mail asking how likely I would return. It seems like the email is some marketing ploy and that the review would only be considered internally. I thought it might be of value to post the same review here.
I appreciate the professional and friendly approach of the folks at MainStreet Tax & Accounting, especially Dave. We have served two missions at Temple Square. We met Dave during our first mission and he has prepared our tax returns since then, 2010. I have been very satisfied and would recommend their firm to any who are in need of help with tax preparation.
