Came in for a question about my brakes. Coleman stopped what he was doing and taught me how to fix it, and even re-surfaced my pads, threw in a missing component to the brakes, and fixed it himself for no charge. Thanks guys. Great work.
Great experience working with Steve to select my new bike!! He was very knowledgeable and accommodating, even hooking up a trailer to multiple bikes for me to try out since I typically ride hauling kids. I also appreciated how he was genuinely interested in helping me select what would be the best fit for my needs, not what would be the most expensive option. Thanks so much!!
So long as I live within traveling distance of Mad Dog Cycles (aka, 'Passionate about Bicycles') They have by business.
Today during a race at the Utah High School Mountain Bike event my son’s chain broke. My son walk/ran his bike about 2miles. Before I could even make it to my son, the technicians at Mad Dog Cycles had his bike on the stand and a new chain put on and sent him on his way. They were so fast he still finished ahead of several kids in his heat. I went to pay them for the chain and they told me not to worry about. I will definitely be doing my shopping with Mad Dog Cycles if they have customer service like that. Thank you
There is nothing 'Mad' about Mad Dog Cycles. Having been to their store several/many times---even communicating with them over email---after each interaction I have never considered them to be 'Mad' in any way.
If you are thinking about getting a bicycle---weather that be the one-of-a-kind Brompton (which they are the only dealer of, in Utah) or a simple-for-recreation hybrid bike. Mad Dog has the staff to get you the knowledge, confidence, and bike(s) to place you on your next favorite set of wheels.
I can not recall each individuals name I have spoken with or asked questions of, but overall the staff is very helpful---especially when giving their opinions on bikes they have used/own (ex. Brompton Folding Bike).
Granted my bike is low quality and a few hundreds dollars max. However I dropped my bike off last Tuesday, was advised the part would arrive on 7/25 and ready for pick up today 7/26. Educated on the situation at hand and proper expectations were set for pick up. We have a family reunion out of State and one specific activity planned around riding. I was reassured your shop was adequately equipped to accurately perform the repair and that it would be arrival before we left. I never received a phone call about the shipment not arriving yesterday to cause a delay in resolution, no phone call today when the delayed shipment still didn't arrive which caused a new delay in resolution. When I called and spoke with a rep I was told "I can't ask UPS to be here first thing in the morning" so you will have to pick the bike up when you return from your family reunion. Now we can't pick up my pick until after we return from out of State. The rep I spoke with was very ignorant and made me feel as if I shouldn't expect anything different then what options he presented. What are we supposed to do now? A simple phone call letting me know about the situation could have prevented said outcome. I would have made other arrangements as needed. He didn't even apologize, pathetic attempt at providing a proper resolution. My father and mother race and have many friends that will love to hear about my experience this weekend.
