It’s a basic good place to get the casual workout in. Flexible convenient hours. You won’t find your meathead steroid user inside of here which is nice because it does not have an elite weight room by any stretch. It’s for the novice to casual to fairly serious cardio type person. Plenty of treadmills, stationary bikes etc. This place shouldn’t intimidate anyone. I think most are trying to get in better shape and so it’s good comfortable setting for anyone. No judgement going on here.
Also, their WiFi sucks so much; only gives you data if you're standing by the lobby. Max bars but no data transfer. (And yes, I signed in I'm not an idiot). Please get better service or out the router in the center of the workout zone. I spend most of my workout waiting for YouTube videos to load at 144p :( this frustration makes it 1 star now. It's frustration when you pay $300 a year black card membership and can't even enjoy yourself because they buy crappy wifi
Most dishonest gym I have ever been a part of. Used them with no complaints for an entire year. I decided to move out of town and cancel my membership. Per policy, I went in and signed an electronic document to cancel and thought it was all set, the next month, I was charged again. I called and they said to send an email to the manager, which I did. At that point I was sure it was taken care of. Flash forward too today, I found out they've been charging my bank account for the past 9 months. It's on me for not seeing it sooner. But after I called, they told me yet again that I needed to come in to the location in person to cancel, even though I have done so as well as sent 2 emails. I wasn't even asking for a refund, just a canceled membership moving forward. I NEVER write bad reviews, but the experience I received at the hand of the horrible management warranted it.
UPDATE: The regional manager (Jay) reached out to me shortly after I made a formal complaint. He took care of all my issues, canceled my account, and offered a refund. He was very professional and apologetic, a night and day difference from my experience with the local management.
The gym is great and all and they trick you into thinking it's cheap BUT it takes and costs 5 arms and 5 legs to cancel you membership. If I would've known that I would've stayed with VASA. Canceling your membership with VASA is super easy. Which makes them better and they have more equipment.
Arrrrgh, this is one of those "24 hour planet fitness" that isn't really open 24 hours. I can't stand that. For this they go from 5 star to 2 star. Yes, it's that important to me. They have a scale in the bathroom though, which is kinda cool.
The only good thing about this planet fitness ess is it has a scale.
It's a good gym. It's not as intimidating as other gyms. Although I wish they had a variety of more free weight equipments like medicine balls, more kettlebell and a variety of weights.
