Got free tickets for a showing at the theatre. Took a date with me and we were very impressed. Nice and open area and very family friendly. Located in a park for a peaceful performance as well. Highly recommended!
We have lived in Utah Valley for 23 years now, and heard about the wonderful outdoor plays offered at the Scera Shell Outdoor Theater...but we never attended until last week. We've even been close friends with Jeremy Showgren, who has directed many productions, and played live piano for even more, but even with invitations, we just never went. I think I was afraid of mosquitoes outdoors at night. Well, no mosquitoes, they have chairs if you don't want to sit on the grass, and it was a ton of fun! I saw HAIRSPRAY. It was amazing! At the end, they called everyone up to dance with them, something I know I haven't attempted in at least fifteen years, but I was so swept up in the moment, I was out there, doing the boogie-woogie with all the players, and having a blast! I think we'll be buying season tickets, and once I drag Eric up there to see something, I'm sure he will become a fan as well.
Great place to see a outdoor play. Not sure how much tickets are, but if you have the pass of all passes you get it for free. Just have to go to the ticket office to pick up the tickets to the play you want to see. They only do two plays and they can run out of tickets fast. Get your tickets early.
Outdoor addition to the Scera Theater. Sit outside and enjoy outdoor movies and plays and concerts throughout the warmer seasons. Great fun for the entire family. Personal favorite activity of our family. :) Love it!
Absolutely love this venue. Music, theatre, old movies are all fun at this location. Season tickets are very affordable and the people who run it are the best. Young people volunteer and gain work experience and they are well trained to sell drinks and snacks. The place can get really packed but the crowd is wonderful. A super location to take your whole family. SCERA is one one the main reasons we love Orem.
