They don't have some of the specialty items that some other grocery stores have, but it is a great place to buy the staples.
They sell bulk grains, cereals, pasta, sauce mixes, spices, seasonings, candy, dog food, nuts and dried fruit of every kind, baking mixes, protein powder, tons of bulk stuff. You put it in a bag and label it at the bend and then pay for it upfront. It's nice because if you only need a little bit of cream of tartar, for example, it's so much cheaper than buying a small container.
They also have the regular groceries you would expect including meat of all kinds and produce of all kinds, and all of it is really fresh.
**For those new to WinCo though, be aware that they do not take credit cards - that's part of how they can keep their prices as low as they do. So make sure when you go, you have a debit card or cash!
An important thing to note is that they do not accept credit cards. You can use a debit card with pin, or just cash.
I hadn't been to Winco in years. I was pleased to see good quality produce. (when they first opened the produce was not very good). Gluten free section in the Bakery. Helpful employees. Good prices. They do take debit cards but not credit cards.
Best prices for groceries! What usually costs me about $100 at a different store only costs me about $70 at Winco. Their produce is usually good, but does go bad pretty quickly. I love their bulk section! They almost always have everything I need in stock. Any employees I’ve ever run into have always been friendly. I honestly don’t know about their customer service because I’ve never had to utilize it. Everything is usually easy to find in your own.
We dumped our Costco membership for WinCo! We found that WinCo's prices were fairly comparable to Costco, but we didn't have to buy in bulk or pay a membership. I also love their bulk section where you can get as much or as little of an item as you want.
Great place to shop. Has the lowest prices anywhere. Even has a bulk section with everything from spices, grain, baking chocolate, whey protein, to almond butter that is ground right before your eyes. I also love that it is employee owned.
Bathrooms are located at the front of the store and customer service has been good to watch my cart full of groceries if I need to make a stop with a kid or two.
I really love this store. The employees are always courteous, nice, and helpful.
