I've always been able to get what I've needed here. Prices aren't super competitive on accessories but on main-ticket items they're priced similarly to other retailers. Just don't buy accessories here. It's ridiculous how they monitor employee performance by how many accessories they sell... They're all overeager to tell me about how I need this super special steel-braided, oxygen-free HDMI cable so I can send 1s and 0s between two devices. The $3 one from Amazon works perfectly well.
Worst customer service. Went to look at cameras most of them were dead. I was really interested in one but wanted to play with it first before making my decision. Asked one of the sales people if they could fix it to try it. Was told no. I then asked if there is another store that i could try it and was told they should all work. If thats the case why couldn't you help me out.
I will not buy anything else from this store. I bought a Smart T.V. from here, and 2 months after I got it, a purple line went horizontal across my screen. When I asked the Geek Squad about this, they let me know that the warranty on my Smart T.V. was for 1 year, but i would be without my T.V. for 3 weeks and I'd have to pay all shipping costs. I should have bought my T.V. at Wal-Mart, at least if something went wrong, I could have exchanged it. Never again will I waste my money here.
Management here is very helpful and patient. Backstory: I purchased an expensive item from Best Buy a few days ago and completed the purchase with multiple Visa Gift Cards that I had lying around from company rewards. Once each gift cards funds were exhausted, I handed them to the BB employee to be discarded. I ended up returning the item I had purchased with the purchase receipt. Unlike other stores that will give you cash back for returned items when receipts are provided, BB will only return the funds to the card that the item was bought with. In lieu of the card the item was purchased with, they offer in store credit if the card isn't available. Remember, my visa gift cards were discarded after the purchase. What the manager ended up doing is what is deserving this review. He actually dug threw the trash in order to recover all of my visa gift cards. Impressed! I worked with two blue shirts and a black shirt employee today. I wish I recalled their names. I will continue to be a best buy customer! Just remember to hang onto the cards that you purchase your items with.
Rude employees. Slowest service EVER. Waited for 30 minutes to get any help, then waited another 15 for the damn manager. Worst return policy I've ever heard. I got a gift and didn't know it was a 14 day return policy. The tripod I was gifted came broken, but I left on a 3 week vacation the day after receiving the gift. So I tried to exchange it today after returning from vacation. They informed me they couldn't do a thing for me and I had to take the broken tripod, period home, and figure out how to contact the manufacturer and settle it with them. So stupid. The first employee I worked with was dumb as a rock and slower than a turtle, and then after requesting to speak to a manager, he was extremely rude and instantly shut me down and sent me on my way. Not returning to this store ever again- very VERY unimpressed.
