My Dr (Scott Peterson) is incredible! I can't say enough awesome things about him!! His MA Jenn is awesome too! However, if I didn't love them so much I would have left Wasatch Medical ages ago because I can't stand the front desk personnel. Jo and Luisa are the most incompetent, rude, and least accommodating staff I have ever met. I truly believe having those two in office is hurting the business.
I love my Dr. (Scott Peterson) which is the ONLY reason I am still here. I cannot stand the front desk ladies, they are rude, inefficient, and lack the most basic customer service skills. If I could fire Jo I would do it myself in a heartbeat, she is terrible. I also don't know how many complaints I have to submit for the office staff to listen.. Not only do they lack customer service, they cannot complete tasks to save their life. My correct insurance was not being billed for SIX MONTHS and I gave an updated insurance card every single time I came in (which was often, being pregnant and having a toddler on frequent well-child checks). Every time I call for a question or anything other than a visit it takes at least 2 days to hear back from anyone, and I have heard "I'm so sorry, I forgot" more times than I can count, REALLY?? So done with this front desk staff!!!
Dr. and nurses were thorough and listened. Only complaint is that it took over an hour to see anyone.
I went in since I'd been having bladder issues for 2 weeks and I was worried because I have a kidney stone and it was really uncomfortable. I was concerned it was blocking somewhere and causing these issues. I knew I didn't have an infection since I had that checked 2 other times, but I knew they'd obviously check again when I went in. They did a urine sample and said I didn't have one (which I knew) and then Dr. Carn felt around for a minute on my back and stomach and said he was pretty sure I had passed the stone. He had no basis for saying that, and all he said was to take some AZO for 3-4 more days and then see if I still had the symptoms. AZO only relieves UTI symptoms, which I didn't have, so I ended up calling a Urologist the next day. I went in there and of course, the stone was definitely still there. So now I'm set up for surgery in 2 weeks if it doesn't come out on it's own. The way he just dismissed what was happening was very frustrating. Especially since I had already been to Instacare before and really needed some answers. I will definitely not be going back there, and I'm not happy about the bill I'm sure I'll be getting.
I have been going to this office since I was 2 almost 40 years. They are efficient and answer questions and follow through quickly on scheduling other medical procedures that we may need such as MRI's or CT scans. The nurses are awesome and the front desk is always helpful! My favorite part as a mom of 6 kids is they can usually get us in same day if there's an emergency e.g.. tick bite last summer.
