Doctor Masteller has been extremely helpful and understanding, I feel comfrotable going here.

Horrible Horrible Place!!!!! PA Clayton was so unknowledgeable about providing good medical care its embarrassing. Here is my story: I had extreme pain in legs. It was so intense I could not function at work. My wife called a local practice close to my work so I could get treatment; Parkway Health Center. I excused myself from work and went to see the PA Clayton. I explained my situation with him and I knew my CK levels where elevated because I have had this issues in the past. I asked if he would check my CK levels. He stated, "are you on any statin medications". I said no, being a nurse I knew statin medications can elevate CK levels, I am not on any medications which would increase my CK levels. I explained my story to him about having chronic muscle weakness and elevated CK levels in the past. He shrugged it off and said, "really the only time you would have high CK levels is if you were on statin medications". I was so stunned I didn't even know what to say because I knew there are several instances which can elevate high CK levels. I knew then I was dealing with an idiot. I explained I need to have something for my pain and he stated, "I don't know you and I don't like giving any medications for pain unless I really know there is an issue". I agreed that pain medications are highly addictive but that I was truly in pain. He stated, "I can give you some prescription strength ibuprofen". Again, I was astounded he would not comply to my wishes. We, as medical professionals are taught pain is what people say it is regardless if we think otherwise. He definitely was not being an advocate nor was he concerned for my care. He was more concerned about being a rehab PA. I tried to convince him that my pain was intense but he ignored me and stated, "do you want the ibuprofen or not". I gave in and said "yes". He also agreed to finally check my CK levels. He left and stated he would be back. After he left I became so upset I decided to leave because I didn't believe Ibuprofen would help the intense pain I was feeling; I had already taken some ibuprofen in the morning and it didn't relieve my pain at all. Because I could not find PA Clayton I told the RN/MA, "I am not pleased with the care I have received her today". I then went to the front of the office and asked for my money back which the receptionist graciously did. I ended up in the ER 2 hours later with elevated CK levels and a diagnosis of rhabdomyolysis; muscle breakdown releasing CK into blood stream. Yes, they did address my pain with two days worth of pain medications which is all I needed. What a relief right.... NO.... a couple weeks later I had some lab values sent to me from this clinic. I knew they never drew lab values but for some reason here they are. What was more interesting was the CK levels on whomever they drew the lab values on had a CK level of 51; I have never had CK levels below 350...EVER!!!!! Of course I was mad. I called the clinic and what did they tell me.... you need to pay us for the visit and the lab values. I explained the situation and the girl I was talking to said I will call you back. Sure enough, 5 minutes later they called back and stated, "your right we don't remember drawing blood on you and this must be some mistake.....the person who was in line after you must have had her lab drawn with your name on it.... we just took care of it" She then apologized and stated, "I will have our RN call you back". Never got a phone call from RN. Several weeks went by and then I had someone from Salt Lake call me and ask questions. Then another letter stating that we owe the money for labs and visit again. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!!!! Bottom line is DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE..... STAY FAR FAR AWAY! PA Clayton is clueless and not a good PA. PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!!

Just low quality patient service here. I will be taking my family elsewhere.

I had a medical concern that was not critical; I couldn't get in with my own doctor for 2 weeks, and I didn't want to go to the ER. This provider was the only place in Orem that would take my insurance besides the hospital. I went in very flustered, having been on the phone with my insurance for 30 minutes; the receptionist was extremely nice and very patient, and I apologized to her for being a little anxious. She did all the sign-in stuff; I didn't fill out a single form. Their Urgent Care was not open until 5:00 PM, but she got me a same-day appointment, and I waited less than 5 minutes to be taken back. The MA, Regina, was very thorough in collecting my medical history, and very pleasant. I saw a PA named Pamela, I believe. She was wonderful! She gave me more information on my existing condition and potential treatments than I got when I talked to my Primary Care Doctor about it months ago. I went away feeling so much better and had the knowledge and tools to properly care for myself and follow up with my own doctor. I will certainly go back to Parkway Health Center if I am ever in need of immediate care again.

For my most recent visit, I had to call three times to make the appointment, each time being told I'd hear back by the end of business on when I could schedule. I never heard back. So I had to just show up and piggyback on my kid's appointment. We waited an hour and 20 minutes in the lobby and then another 30 in the room. We ended up leaving prematurely because it was a Friday evening and our kids were starving. When we notified the individual at the front desk that we were leaving because we hadn't been seen, she just said, "Ok." She made no attempt to remediate the situation.

Very unimpressed with the administrative staff here They spoke about us in front of us, ignored my wife's pain and let her stand there while they dithered with checking insurance after I had already said we would pay out of pocket. They could not tell us any prices, because "its after hours." The website clearly says they are open until 9pm, and we were there at 5:20. It took two hours to get a shot and a prescription (there were only 2 other patients there). Total bill (despite having insurance)=$700. Never coming here again.

Tl;Dr They instruct you to arrive 20 minutes early, only to make you wait an hour in the lobby. Then another 30-45 minutes waiting for the doc.

Up to this point, there has been no follow up on the appointment I had requested and no one has followed up on my kid. I left a complaint through their portal, no response there either.
