I came in last year in Dec because a stomach bug left me dehydrated. I was seen right away (no one else in the waiting room,) and given IV fluids and anti-nausea drip. I asked for a pain medicine because my back hurt immensely and they gave me morphine. I was hoping there was something less... opioid-y like injectable ibuprofen, but maybe it doesn't exist. But after a minute, the pain was gone! My nausea stopped, I got rehydrated, and the doctor and nurse were nice. Also, they let me sleep for a few hours. The only thing I would change is the amount I was billed! Wow, after getting the bill, I wish I had never gone to the ER. But what are you gonna do? Sigh. Also, it would help if the receptionist was a bit more welcoming and smiled. Overall, good experience.
The doctors are sub contacted so you will get a bill from the hospital, then receive a separate bill from another company that the doctor works for. Not Fun paying multiple bills for one visit.
I have never seen anything like this ER. The bathroom was dirty, we had a nurse come to discharge us when we just had gotten there, Turns out she had the wrong room, they didn't provide blankets or pillows. They treated my sister and I like complete garbage (my sister who was there because she had just had a C-section and was in huge amounts of pain). Between leaving us in a room for two hours in agonizing pain to the head nurse of the evening Keley/Kelley yelling at my sister, telling us we were wrong about what was happening, to slamming the door to our room in our faces so we couldn't get a word out. I am appalled that someone could treat someone else this way. We actually heard nurse Keley/Kelley talking to the other nurses about "how awful" my sister was, and that she "thought that when you had a baby it made you nice" and many other rude things. Which made our new nurse condescending and rough with my sister. We spent 5 hours in this ER and had hardly any communication with anyone. Multiple people have had this issue (and many others) with this ER so I would never reccomend going here. (Side note: their labor and delivery wing is amazing.)
I can't share details, but I watched them do something that harmed a patient, against the patient's will, with no benefit, because they thought it would lower their legal risk (the words were "because of the liability" until they realized how bad that sounded and then just focused on "it's already done"). How could I trust them after seeing that? If someone in my family is dying, I'll take the time to drive further to a better ER.
