A family member gave birth here and had a good experience. I am grateful for a happy outcome & care from the staff. The family treat/frig area was awesome. Sometimes a Diet Coke & Lorna Doones, help everyone get through a tense time.
I delivered my baby here almost 2 weeks ago and it was a wonderful experience. The nurses were caring and attentive and I love that you can choose your meals and even get a cute Celebration dinner for you and your significant other to celebrate the birth of your child. It was my first delivery here and it was great!
Horrible after hours experience. We needed x-rays. We had the order from our Dr. I called and asked if they could do it. They said they could. We waited for 2 hours to get them taken. They were under staffed and the communication between the small staff that was here was abysmal. After waiting for an hour and a half, I finally went back to the ER to see if they knew we were waiting. When we finally saw the x-ray tech he said sorry for the wait but he was never informed that we were waiting. So frustrating! 2 hours for an x-ray!
I wouldn't go anywhere else in Utah County but here. They have up-to-date equipment, the hospital is always clean, and I and my wife have always been treated with the utmost personalized care. My wife had to go to the ER here a few weeks ago and she received stellar care while in the ER. From the time we walked through the front doors we were quickly greeted and treated with respect. True genuine patient care was exhibited the entire four hours that we were there. If you are searching for a truly outstanding facility in Utah County...search no further.
Labor and delivery were fine. The nightmare has been with billing for emergency care my wife received for complications after a C-section. Although Timpanogos Regional Hospital is inside our insurance network, and the hospital knew what her insurance was, she was somehow assigned an emergency room doctor outside of the network. As a result, we are being balance-billed for nearly the full amount of the doctor's services (which, by the way, involved his presence for about three minutes; there's no way his time is as valuable as his billing office suggests, but that's a separate issue). The emergency room should have easily avoided this whole situation.
This is an internal issue; we went to an in-network hospital but had no choice over the assigned doctor and should not have to go through this ordeal. We're appealing with our insurance and we'll see where it goes, but either way it's a big pain.
