I gotta be real, we bought my fiancés engagement ring and wedding band here, and both of those times were pretty good experiences.
When we went back to buy my ring, however, the employees were rude and dishonest. We had been in before multiple times to look for my wedding band, and when we found the one we wanted we were quoted with a decent price that seemed reasonable. My fiancé and I were both told this price, then I went back later with my mother who was told the same price, and we saw the woman writing it down in the book. Their system was down so we didn't purchase that day, but when we came back they gave us a different price that was $400 more for the same ring. When we addressed the fact that we had all been told a different price, the staff got rude with us and the employee who originally priced it said she had no recollection of ever saying something like that. We told her how we all heard and saw her quote us at a different price and even pulled up the online price to prove we weren't lying, but they acted oblivious. Completely ruined the company for me.
My husband and I purchased my engagement ring here at the University location, while they hosted one of their diamond parties. One of the best decisions ever! (My husband is an accountant and reads the fine print to everything!) We purchased the warranty as anyone would with a jewelry piece. I keep my warranty up to date every 6 months and get my ring cleaned every chance I get. I love Claire, the manager, she is very willing to work with you within reason. I am speaking from personal experience here, I have not had any problems at this location nor with the company. They are a subsidiary from Kroger so you get points at any smith's and other kroger locations. As far as sales goes, I have done D2D sales and trust me that compared to this is nothing. The level of sleaziness with D2D and car sales is way worse than selling diamonds. Diamonds requires class and not pressuring customers, the customer already wants a diamond so why pressure them? I'm just saying...do your homework before making any BIG purchases in your life.
Then a few months later we went back in and showed that even more silver spots were showing! This time the manager at least acted interested, but told us to come back another time when we have more time.
We'd already gone to several places to find an engagement ring, they remembered that they had a ring sitting in their vault that fit my description perfectly. Worked with us very well and had a great selection of high quality, low-cost diamonds. Beautifully handled, they educated us like no other place had... Also, gotta love the 30 days full money refund policy!
They are not there to make you happy or as they say "make your day sparkle" if you go their you will have problems with them and their product. Save your money and frustration and take your business someplace else.
I had only had my engagement ring for a few months when my outer halo bent. I took it in and they fixed it. A week later I notice my 1 karat diamond was spinning in the setting. 8 took it in and the manager told me they had their jeweler in training fix my ring. She took it and a couple weeks later I got it back. Then a month later one of my side stones falls out. At this point I asked for my money back because it's obviously not quality jewelry and the mangager told me it was passed the 90 day window. She then proceeded to blame me for what was going on saying that I was probably being too rough on my ring. Long story short just don't go here. Also, Claire you suck.
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT GO HERE!! They are a scamming dishonest place! My wife and I were really happy to find a cheap ring that she liked here. We ordered it in pure rose gold, but after we got it silver spots began to show. So we took it back a few weeks later telling them we believe it is not pure rose gold. They took the ring looked at it for two seconds than said "I don't know that's weird, here's your ring" and walked away! We live two hours away so it is hard to make it down!
The third time they finally took the ring in to have it resized and cut to make sure it is pure rose gold! We were told that it was pure rose gold and my wife must have touched the ring with something to have a chemical reaction to make gold turn silver!! But they said they would fix the silver spots. We just got the ring back a week ago and they tried to cover the silver spots which are still very visible! Than within two days she had 2 diamonds fall out!!! They had a few excuses why they fell out, but again blamed it on her! (But she had the ring for 6 months and had never once had a diamond fall out) so we went back in and we wanted our money back seeing we have gone in 4 times plus called them about 4 times now with only frustration! But they said they would not give out money back because it wasn't in our 90 day period. But here's the thing WE DID GO TO THEM IN THE 90 DAY PERIOD AND THEY TURNED US AWAY!!!!!!! They have offered to gives us a new ring but not until the forth time of complaining!!
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere honest.
