The only reason I gave two stars instead of one was because the cook did a good job.
I enjoyed the meal, everything was cooked just right and they have some tasty salsas.
However, despite the fact that we might have been one of three tables currently being served in the restaurant it took 15 minutes just to get our waters out.
Overpriced for what you get and they run out of a lot of stuff. Owner should take an SCM course to learn how to forecast and better meet demand..
All in all, I don't really have much bad to say. Everything could be changed for the better, except for the food... Don't change that, it's already perfect.
Average dining experience at best. Great Atmosphere but the menu options are limited and not very traditional. Taste is subpar which makes the cost almost outrageous. Our waiter was either new or not good at his job, wasn't terrible just slow and seemingly inexperienced. Not understanding the GREAT reviews.
The salsa is the best thing here is the salsa and it is amazing. So flipping good. The service here was underwhelming. The server was very kind but very inattentive. Took 20+ minutes just to have waters and chips brought out. Then we had to flag him down to refill the water. The food was decent but seemed lazily prepared. I probably won't be back unless I'm craving that salsa.
Not the best wait staff, but the food more than makes up for that. Nothing is more than around $15, and it's all well worth the price. I've been around five times now, and every time the wait is pretty quick. Although the chairs are comfortable, and tables clean, even with just two or three tables (the restaurant probably has around 20-25 tables total) with people it can get pretty loud in here.
While the food here was great the service was not.
The waiter was unprofessional. I like a casual relaxed waiter, but casual is different than unprofessional. When I asked if they had a specific dish available he replied "yes, I think we have some leftover from a catering this morning". While it is still possible to serve the food safely according to food handlers guidelines, you don't want to make your customers feel like they are being served leftovers at your restaurant.
