First off I want to comment on the response of the waiter and the manager. They were quick to address the issue and offered an apology to me and my wife. I respect a business that steps up to exceed expectations when a problem happens or when expectations were not met. They gave the meal free to me because the fish was cooked differently across the filet and just looked raw in the middle. The manager assured me that they temp everything out however I found that difficult to believe in this case so that is why I have choose 4/5. The salad was wonderful and I will still consider going back. My wife had the chicken and that was prepared 100% to expectations.
I have heard people rave about this place for years so I finally decided to try it out and honestly I was not impressed. First off the lettuce wraps, service and the people were great so that is where they got their stars. Now secondly their food was pretty mediocre for the price. I didn't feel anything was very flavorful and begged to be eaten again. I mean comparing it to panda express this place is a joke and that is sad. Thirdly my wife has Celiac Disease so she can not eat gluten (not a fad thing but an actual medical diagnoses) and she was terribly sick after eating their "gluten free" options. Needless to say I will not be back and was no impressed at all. Save your money and eat elsewhere.
Americanized Chinese food in a nice location - this place was better than we expected. Loved coming here for Saturday date night. We had a 40 minute wait for our table, but we expected that and got to walk around the mall while we waited. The greeter at the front was SO nice and courteous, and our server was great. We went during a prom night so there were a lot of high schoolers there, which was fun. The service was still really good even though I could tell it was busy. We got our food in a timely manner, our water were refilled before they were empty, and we enjoyed the food and dessert we got. We ordered (1) crispy honey chicken: not actually very crispy but very delicious, (2) the chicken pad Thai: not the most flavorful or authentic I've ever had, but I loved it anyway and (3) Vietnamese lava cake which was also not mind-blowing but very tasty and came with ice cream and a few berries.
They would not fill my drink even after I asked them to several times. I guess they don't do refills there. The new filet steak meal on the menu is like a pile of dog food. Meat diced up with potato chunks fried in pan with some onions, and they charge you 20$ and it came highly recommended by the waiter who won't refill a drink or bring you a water.
We waited for an hour to be seated and after only 10mins of our dishes was served the waiter brought us the check right away. Seriously? He is asking us to hurry eat and get OUT! Very unpleasant experience and I will never return to this place.
Overall I would definitely come here again for a nice date night on a moderate budget (we paid about $50 including tip for two people). Our other option for the night was cheesecake factory, and we didn't want to drive all the way from Provo to Murray. I'm glad we tried this place.
